HOW SAFE IS YOUR SCHOOL DISTRICT?

What if you could run an All Hazards diagnostic report that highlights potential areas of concern?

YOU CAN!

School Safety Review

OUR "CROWD-SOURCING" TECHNOLOGY MAKES IT EASY FOR SCHOOL DISTRICTS TO INVOLVE MULTIPLE STAKEHOLDERS IN AN ALL HAZARDS APPROACH TO SCHOOL SAFETY. IT TAKES LESS THAN AN HOUR TO GET IT SET UP AND READY TO LAUNCH.

HERE’S HOW IT WORKS

1 We create a custom and secure URL for your school district.
2 You invite stakeholders (administrators, faculty, and staff) via email, social media or other means to complete the online review during a two-week "open review" period. It takes each participant about 30 minutes to complete.
3 Each participant is asked to identify their school/building/campus and their role (function/job) within the district.
4 Participants then consider an "all hazards" approach to best practices as established by The National School Safety Council, based on over 2,000 campus visits across North America.
5 The review seeks to identify areas of high confidence and low confidence as well as identify areas of potential vulnerability in existing safety plans and practices.
6 When the review period closes, we send you a secure online report showing your results You’ll appreciate the power of our VoiceMaps that provide a color-coded view of conditions and confidence levels at each school and the district as a whole. Some people have compared the diagnostic value of these VoiceMaps to a medical CAT Scan or MRI. It confirms what is normal and functioning as it highlights areas of concern that may require a closer look by district administrators and/or trained professionals.

DEVELOPED BY THE NATIONAL SCHOOL SAFETY CENTER & DR. RONALD STEPHENS

NSSC was formed in the 1980s as a joint venture between the US Departments of Education and Justice. Today it operates as a non-profit organization assisting schools across the country with safety concerns.

WE KNOW HOW BUSY YOU ARE

That’s why it couldn’t be easier to launch the School Safety Review in your district. We handle all of the backend and reviewer support if necessary. You’ll be amazed at how easy it for participants to do the review.

IT’S LIKE HAVING A DIAGNOSTIC CAT SCAN FOR YOUR SCHOOL DISTRICT

That’s the best analogy we’ve heard from those who have piloted the School Safety Review. When you see the color-coded VoiceMaps™ showing the results from your district, we think you’ll agree.
The School Safety Review does not by itself correct or remediate weaknesses and areas of concerns, but by leveraging the collective wisdom of district stakeholders (thus the "crowd-sourcing" reference), you are able to identify areas where staff training, plan improvement, or other professional intervention might be useful.
